All right just wanted to give a plug for Chacal at xj4ever and a warning to those (like me) who think they might save a few buck buying steering bearings from "all balls". I purchased steering bearing off of eBay supposedly for my XJ 750 and they "fit" meaning the diameter was correct but the bearings were too thick. This made it so the steering stops on the triple tree barely hit the stop on the frame. Also the top dust seal wouldn't even seat onto the top bearing. It was one of those things where I suppose I could've said "close enough" but it sure didn't seem safe. After spending much time trying to figure out what I had done wrong I decided the bearings were the issue not me. I ordered a new set from Chacal and they fit perfectly, the dust seals seat perfectly - no issues. So do yourself a favor, if you're going to replace your steering bearings, get them from XJ4ever in the first place. I'm just hoping I save someone else the struggle that I went through.

Good advise, Len researches and has the "correct" parts for your project. Make sure you let him know if you are having any trouble and he will quickly correct it. Not many vendors go above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy.
