Hi folks, I'm John from New Mexico
Last July I bought an 81 Seca 750 from a friend
13K miles and really clean, runs great.
original black with red and gold accents, paint is shiny and clean.
So far I've changed the clutch cable, new front tire, had it tuned
Today I'm doing an oil change.
and in 1 year I've put 1000 miles on it. Never get out as much as I want.
I like riding in winter, it's cooler. We get snow, but the roads are clear pretty much most of the time. Summers are HOT, so I tend to cruise the freeways rather than in town because I don't like roasting at stop lights.
I wear all the gear because I want to keep all MY parts.
I want to learn to maintain the bike myself, so I'm buying the tools and stuff I need. I'm going to need some parts and advice.
I also want to outfit it for touring so I'm looking for "modern" hardshell luggage like Givi or some other brand. Anyone know of some good brands to look at that will fit and look good on an old Seca?
Nice to be a member, see you on the road!

Hi John I have not been here long myself but there is a wealth of information on this site to assist you in doing all your own work. - Cheaper too. I can't imagine what I would have had ot pay a shop for the things I have done to my bike.

Lost of parts at good prices available for Len (CHACAL) along with honest advice.

    Enjoy!

    Welcome,
How lucky you are to be able to ride year round. South Dakota winters are not that kind to us on the Northern Plains.
This is a great place to pick some very experienced brains
