hey guys my name is nick i'm 18 years old
so long story short i was given a 81 xj650. it was used as a parts bike but a friend of mine has a ton of parts for it. so i will be putting it back together.

my only problem is, it doesnt have a title. i've been looking for a frame with a title on craigs/ebay. no luck so far. hopefully you guys can help me out finding one.

i'm sure i will be posting on here for questions as i know nothing about these bikes.

thanks for the help in advance!

I don't know where you are, but at least here in MN there is a way to get a title for a title-less bike. You need a bill of sale and to fill out some paperwork.

i'm in cny. see the thing is, my buddy that has all the parts he was working on three of these bikes for a guy. the guy wanted two good running bikes and he didnt care what happened to the parts bike. and my buddy has plenty of parts and bikes in his garage so he gave it to me. i'm not sure if the guy is the original owner or if he bought it titleless from someone else.

Chacal, our supporting vendor. If you click the XJ4Ever logo on the top right, it takes you here...

There is a lot of valuable info here, and in threads in the forum. When you are ready to look for parts, click on the XJ MAXIM, SECA, AND TURBO PARTS CATALOG link. If you do not see what you looking for, send Chacal a PM, he can likely find it for you.

Call your local DMV and ask what you need to get a title. It might be easier that you think depending what state you are in.
