Picked up three bikes last weekend. 550 max a 550 seca and a 550 seca parts bike. Ive got a lot of work a head of me. None of the bikes currently run but Im confident that they will be soon. But for now here are a few pics of the bikes for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

The black one doesn't run because there is no battery. SOLVED :p

Beautiful bikes, congrats. They look like you picked them up from the factory.

Well, that was too obvious and I was sure you had figured that one out yourself... lol

But all the joking aside, are there any technical issues that they don't run or is it just the typical stuff after they've been sitting for too long? How many miles are on them? Wish I could find a bike that nice...

Carbs flooded both crankcases. Not really sure how long they sat. I'll do all the normal work starting with a compression test, carbs, valves, and brakes…

Good eye about the foot pegs. Hahaha! Had to take them off so I could fit the parts bike in the truck. I picked up all 3 bike at once a couple hours away.

The parts bike is a 81 seca with a sx front end. That's kind of interesting. But the bike was sitting outside for who knows how long with no bolts in the valve cover with a bag over it. The seca in the pics I believe is a 83 black one. But the paint on tank and side covers wasn't very good so the PO swapped parts. I still have those parts in one of the many boxes of parts that came with the bikes.

This is gonna take sometime sorting parts and fixing things.

But first up is the max. Carbs were already off so I started taking them apart to find they were partially rebuilt and very clean. So I'm thinking a dip, all new rubber, a new fuel T, and they should be good. They already have new needles and beenie screens. (I think that's what there called) new upgraded drain bolts and all the bolts on the bowls and hats seem to be new ss bolts as well.

Since I already have ss brake lines rebuilt mc and caliper on my 550 that is not as nice. I'm gonna put them on this bike. I'll ride it for a while once the valves and everything is done. Then it's going to my dad. I'll start a new thread soon on the carb for the 550 max.

    Thanks for reading!
