New XJ650 owner

    New guy to the forum. Picked up a 81 XJ650 and a 82 XJ750 parts bike from my friend for 300.00 on 12/23 he also threw in a pit bike for free.

    He already did some work to the engine and got it running for the most part. But couldn't get the idle right.
    Once I got them home I found 3 of the 4 manifolds was split. Should be a easy fix.

    As you can see I have started work already. I have forward controls, progressive shocks, lights, handlebar and controls/switches ordered already.

    I read through that couple times before I joined. Been creeping the forum for a week learning info on these bikes.

    I have learned a lot so far.
