New XJ700 Owner!! NEED HELP… Backfiring issue

    Hi All!! I purchased a 1986 XJ700 from a friend of mine, who was moving away… it was stored in a shed for 20+ years and in decent shape but needed some lovin’… I purchased a carb kit and my friend totally redone the carbs, new battery, new plugs, gas tank cleaned and flushed with new gas-and a new exhaust for her!! The bike was put back together and started up… bike ran well at idle after the carbs were synced… bike runs well at lower speeds but when you speed up she sputters, spitting and popping… and not running right at all… any help appreciated!! Thanks in advance
