Hi everyone! Like to stop and take a minute to introduce myself... My name is Matthew, 28yr old, I live in Fergus Falls MN with my wife and 14 month old son. I work as an principle manufacturing engineering tech. for a word wide leader in valve communication, and as an Asst. Driver for our local Vol. Fire Dept.

I recently reaquired my original cycle.... a 1981 Yamaha Seca 750. I bought this bike as the third owner back in 1997. I owned/rode it until 2000 when I traded it off on a 2000 Honda Shadow 750. Since I've traded away the Shadow for a 4 wheeler. Upon trading off the Seca, my wifes cousin purchased it from the dealer and has owned it since. About a month ago he called me and asked if I wanted to come and pick the bike up, due to the fact he had started rebuilding some components and didn't want to move it cross country for a job relocation. So I loaded up the truck and trailer and "reclaimed" the Seca.

For the time being I intend to get it road worthy once again.... I'm currently rebuilding the carbs, front brake caliper rebuilt, new plugs, full fluid changes, exhaust collector patched, fuse box retro'ed, and the list goes on.

I hope to post pics one of these next few weeks as thing start to fall back together.

Great site, and I hope to tap the knowledge available as questions arise!! :D

I reckon you were meant to get the bike back ;)

Enjoy the rebuild and do post the pics of your progress.. They just might help someone else in need of some information.
