I really love my 1983 Yamaha XJ 900 but I hate your rims... :(

One option would be to buy some 18" spoke rims Excel Takasago. This is the best option but very expensive (plus adaption cost).

On the other hand, would be to buy other motorcycle rims (Yamaha XS, Honda CX500S, ?) but I mind the shaft drive will not be compatible.

The problem is in the rear rim due to shaft drive, and also I want to keep the brake disk, therefore rule out the Virago rims.

Thank you very much in advance for the help,
    Pit.

Soomething is getting lost in your translation......

    What don't you like?

If you don't like the tires, get a different brand.

If you don't like the rims, you're gonna have a much more difficult time finding something that will work instead.

Are you wanting wider rims? I thought the 900 already had 18" wheels?

Look at rims for the xj900 Diversion..........I'm not sure if they are the same size or not----but check into it.

If those are compatible, they should be easier for you to locate.......I don't believe the Diversion was available in the USA.

I do not want more wide rims. I really do not like the aspect of the classic XJ900 rims.

I'm looking for other rims, but retaining the same measures...

That was a very good chance, but the Xj 900 Diversion rims are 17 inches...

I need to keep the original measures.

Could you adapt the rear rim from a Yamaha XS 750 to a Yamaha XJ900?
