I am curious about how many people ride at night? Mainly I don't see many, once in a awhile I do. Currently my work schedule has me getting off at 200am. Since I work in Ashland Oregon I see quite a few deer, racoons and such until I get out of town. Than I see a lot of police go figure.

    Anyway just wondering

I work 3rd shift (11-7) so I ride to work every night. Definitely gotta keep an eye out for wildlife as I see deer all the time. I just try to take it a little slower and use the high beams as much as possible.

I would have to agree with the wildlife. I went as far as to put some deer whistles on my radiator. better safe than sorry.

Yeah for sure the wildlife is the biggest concern. One time while riding home from work in AZ at about 2am i came across three bucks crossing the highway from my right to left. I barely missed the last crosser by a few feet. If i can help it than i do not ride at night, but slow and high beams are necessary if you must ride at night.

i some times ride at nigh (10:30 pm) after i get off work, but im in the heart of the city so i dont have to worry about wildlife much. and i usually ride with a lot of other people who ride their bikes to work, we all take the same road to get home but then eventually split off from each other to get to our respective houses

I hit a raccoon with my 900 seca came out of no where. I hit him with my header pipes, scared the shit out of me. But just like the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy said " Don't Panic". Just keep it straight and the bike will do all the work.

Why is this in "Sell, Trade, Swap, Wanted?"

If you're looking for a "purchase recommendation" to facilitate safer night riding, invest in a motorcycle-specific Halogen H4 headlight upgrade kit. Highly recommended, the improvement over stock is exponential.
