noisy cams

    Just wondering if its a regular thing with the xj's or a problem. when IM at idle my cams just make an annoying squek. Don't notice it really when going though.

    Probably has nothing to do with your cams. Could even be an exhaust leak.

    Sounds coming from the top of the motor. Ive listened and it sounds like its coming from the cam area. Something to worry about?

    Valves been checked? Maybe a cam chain rubbing someplace.
