Hi to all! Glad to find the wealth of info, as I picked up a 85 maxim x rough with neglect but a worthy venture. cleaned the carbs quick if there is such a thing and got it to fire and run. So now on to the carbs once again far more thoroughly and collect the needed goods missing.
I have some questions and will try to find the info I am seeking but if any of you have the liquid version could you pipe up?

I am in North central fl Thanks for the site.

Welcome to XJ world from NW Arkansas. In about 2 months I'll be envying your weather. Those X's are nice and fast I hear, congrats! There is a method to the XJ madness and you'll find it here. Follow the sage advice and you have a fine ride. Look for those members who've posted and been around for while-they're knowledge is extensive and far better than you'll find at your local dealer (at least w/respect to these classics). Liquid advice on carbs-don't skip anything, shining clean, and synched.

Thanks for the welcome all The carb thread was a long read but well worth the time, Not my first go around with inline fours but the info was perfect and concise! I pulled the back wheel and I to have the separated linings.
I find almost no details on the liquid version and need some info/ parts #'s
Post some pics of the neglected ride tonight Have fun and be safe
