Doing first oil change on my '81 seca 750 today. I've posted a question in the XJchat but this one is a little different. SO...maybe I'm being anal about it, but as far as crankcase capacity, I notice my CC cover shows 2500CM^3 on it. that is 2500 cubic centimeters. I think I'm right on that. So is that the true oil capacity? Also how crucial is it to get it exact. Since it's a small engine as opposed to my deisle truck I was concerned that overfilling would be far more problematic. I was thinking one of these might help

Is this going to far? Should I just eyeball the level in the window?

Anybody know the conversion from cubic centimeters to quarts? All I find is food cooking measure conversion on the net.

I just slowly fill it to the top of the window and let it settle, start bike for a few seconds to let oil circulate, turn it off and let it settle for a few mins and top up as nessasary, then repeat until the level stays at the top.

OK, my conversion and capacity obsession is over
    Crankcase capacity is 2500 CM^3 = 2.64 US qts.
But with the filter you need 2.96 qts.
and the eyeball method works fine.
Thanks to all for the advice
Oil job is done and the Seca runs fine.
