This is my official goodbye to all here.

I sold my bike via E Bay, the new owner came and picked her up tonight.

I will miss the fun times on the bike, riding with the wind in my hair. I will miss the girls starring at me on my sexy red Yamaha. I will miss the stunned faces by hardcore Harley guys when I pull up next to them and take off.

Most of all I will miss the comadery us motorcycle people have. Its always nice to be able to ride and get a friendly wave or nod from another biker passing me by.

You all here have been great. Its nice to see a community of people dedicated to these bikes and to help others out with them.

The XJ for what its worth, seems to be a rather stout bike. I think I made a very good choice buying mine. I hope I made the right choice in letting her go. The new owner seems pretty cool and is very excited about his purchase. I told him about this site and the people here, the information available and he was rather please. So dont be surprised when he shows up.

At any rate guys, its been nice talking with you. Seeing your guys problems and solutions as well as my own. SInce I no longer own an XJ it would feel strange to hang out and lurk here still. I will probably go through withdraw and check in for he first few months but taper off.

    God Bless,

    Ryan

    Once an XJ-Man ... ALWAYS an XJ-Man.

You don't need to have a bike to fix. You just need the experience you have the will be invaluable to others -- like the guy who adopted your bike.

Don't delete the site from your Favorites List. Keep it close to the top, monitor what's going on ... and, jump in the pool to rescue somebody who's going down for the third time, someday.

    All the very best,
    Rick Massey

I'm saddened that you would feel the need to leave having let the old girl go. We still have the Other forum and your experiences with your XJ are in no way diminished with the passing on of your current ride. If you ride, you have a home here. I'll piggyback on Rick here, you might just be the fella that saves someones bacon on a problem down the road. Woot is still around dispite having jumped ship to a CBR. Knowledge is knowledge regardless of the source, and you got it bud. Keep safe and keep in touch, we'll need your wisdom. Robert.

    No bike as of yet.

The loot I got out of her is being used to help fund a business adventure of sorts and the remaining funds will be put to good use.
