Don't have and cannot find info on this obsolete model of oil cooler. Once warm oil smell from crankcase breather is quite strong. Is this increased because I may be over filling. thanks :?

Don't fill based on trying to measure except as a start, and then just add the normal amount. (2.4L or thereabouts.)

    Then---

Use the sight glass. (On the clutch cover, down under.)

With the bike on the CENTERstand and the motor warmed up but OFF for at least 10 minutes, check the sight glass. The oil should be right at the top but with a "bubble" still showing.

On the sidestand you won't see any oil.

The oil capacity, "officially" is 2200CCs; that's the little number cast onto your clutch cover.

We generally add an extra 200CCs or so to keep the oil level sensor happy during hard acceleration.

I wasn't converting, your "starting point" should be about 2400CCs, or 2.4L. Most motorcycle oil comes in Liter bottles, not quarts, here too.
