Ok, so there is no washer between the spring and the rubber grommet on the oil filter on my bike. Is this a common washer size that I could pick up at Home Depot or something? I need on as I am sure it has a purpose in there. Right now I am running without it, but I think about it too much.

    Thanks in advance.

Personally, I wouldn't sweat it. If I remember correctly it's only intended as a seat for the spring, which I'm sure is just as happy sitting on the rubber. If you're losing sleep about it, any proper fitting washer would do the job.

Mine seems quite content without the washer.

ok, so I'm not the only one then. well perhaps I shouldn't worry about it so much. I just figured that without it the spring would not have a solid base that allows it to turn as it needs to and it might chew up the grommet on the filter.

    Well then, I'm good.

    Thanks all.

I got one at Part N More for a dollar.
If you order $35 of stuff, the shipping is free.
I doesn't take long to hit that mark.
I'd say it's nothing to worry about, but for a dollar, might as well add it to the order.

oh, you can just order one thing? I tought there was a $35 minimum to be able to buy stuff off of there? I'm not sure what 650 stuff (which is what they have) would even fit on my 550, so .... hmmm.

I think you can order less than $35 but if you do , you have to pay shipping.
I've ordered twice but both times it was over $35.
If they would get foot peg rubbers back in stock, I'd order again.
But if you order something wrong, it's a $20 restock fee plus the shipping back to Canada.
    Prices are very good though.
So make sure it would work for you before ordering anything..

    OOPS.
I just went to the Parts N More site.
Looks like the order and shipping info has changed.
So there is a min order and shipping is no longer free.
May have to rethink my peg rubbers.
$12.99 each at my local dealer.
