    Hi all,

As I posted earlier my oil press. switch is not working. I took it out and tested it with an ohmmeter today and I got about 40 on the R x 1k scale. I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

Since there's no pressure the contact should be connected (grounded), hance, the ohms should be close to 0 (current can go through, lite up the indicator) .

    Am I right?

So is it normal with such a high resistance under no pressure? I took a digital multimeter and got a 1670 on a 2000K scale. My gut tells me it's not right.

Thanks bill, and I'm sorry I have yet to take a pic since I've been pretty busy. I'll try to do it tonight between jobs. 8)

No problem Ok I found the wire in the headlight and I get just 1 or 2 ohms to ground.

Hope it is not too much too ask but I would like to know the reading of the switch itself. It should located behind the cover where the clutch cable goes into.

It's on the left corner and should onlt have 1 wire connected to a little screw. The whole unit can just unscrew out. It is kinda a big, I'm guessing 24mm. I just used a vice grip to unscrew it (It was pretty stuck).

I am uploading the photos and I'll PM u when I'm done.

    Thanks for help anyways!

Ok I can do that tonight - I was taking the cover off anyway tonight to lube up the clutch mechanism.

But I can tell you if I only get a couple of ohms from the headbucket to ground through that switch it won't be any different.
