I have several pics here... of the latest stage that my bike is in... you can see the drive shaft lengthened.... quite a BIT... longer than the trike behind it... that gives you a idea...

I am DESPERATLY looking for a metal /steel front mudguard like a harley dyna or a suziki intruder 1500 (front fender!) for this... something big and that wraps around the tyre... if you can help please shout if you know of a scrap one .... thanks...

but enjoy the photos... I really appreciate your support... btw.. Mods.. do you mind if I use the XJ bikes logo on my bike... or shall I ask... SITE OWNER!!!!! I am sure its not a registered trade mark but I dont want to p155 anyone off!!! thanks. :)

you need a damn good engineer and alot of specialist tools...

this one was chopped... heated up.... welded to another hardened steel bit.. then left to cool for days!!!!! then re heated.... tempered.. cooled... ballanced... and then heated and cooled... then finally ballanced again.. and taaaa daaaaa......

there are FAR easier options... like cutting it and then turning it.. so you can screw on (in so many words) the new half of the shaft...

or you can like another member buy a ?ford? shaft... I think he said.. and then cut it to suit..

The rims are nothing special.. they are virago ones.....

had to change over the calipers as well..

but the mountings are the same.
