Old School Hitachi Float Adjustment

    This is a variation of a Rickcomatic earlier post on the subject.

    Hitachi Float Adjustment

    Cut the cotton tip off an end of a Q-tip. Measure 17.5 mm's up from the end you cut off and mark a line on the Q-Tip around its shaft. Now you have an accurate tool for measuring a float's height. Remove the gasket. Set the cut off end on the gasket seat near the float axel. Bend the float's tang so that the float seam is even with the marked line on the Q-tip.
    Measure each float to insure the assembly is parallel with the gasket seat.
