My dad emailed this old photo to me. It's a pic of my dad's Kawi 750 LTD and my mom's Honda 554 (or is it 550-4?). I remember I had a silver, 3/4's helmet with a snap-on visor. I was 8-10 years old and my dad would take me around on that black Kawi. Just thought I'd share.

Those are both great bikes. I owned one of the Honda 550 4 cylinders back about 15 years ago and it was a fun scoot. I'd still like to pick up a Honda CB750 some day and bob it.

yup it is 550 Four I had 76' or 77'550super sport years back that a guy had put an extended front end on and did some motor work to. I don't have a clue what the guy did to that motor but damn that thing was fast. I got the speedo stuck at 127 Miles per hour it never came back down for the three years we owned it. That bike was stupid fast but fun. We bought it for 250 bucks in mancelona Mi. I would like to know what the guy did because he def did it right. I also have the memories of riding on the gas tank with dad from as early as I can remember on his suzuki 500 two cycle. Man that bike took a beating but lasted for ever it seemed. Alot of good memories brought back by that pic.

I had a 71 and 72 550 years back. Great bikes. My neighbor back in Alameda had one too. He built it with so many mods it was competitive with current (at the time) displacement bikes (in street trim that is).

I remember as a kid ogling at the ads for the bikes of the 70's waiting until I could get in on the action. I just caught the tail end of the 70's with my RM, but I am stuck in the 80's. My X is the 'newest' bike that I have ever owned. :)
