Perhaps I am missing the Stateside humor? Doesn't look like an XS 750 triple to me.

I just had to ask the guy about the intake set-up, and he said. . .

All I did was go up a size in carbs. The stock carbs were 34mm Mikuni, I went up to a 38mm with the stock jets. I also built a plenum type manifold running an 1 3/4" center section with the others tubes being 1 3/8". It's works pretty well...no hesitation, no starving that I've noticed. If you set your 4 cyl. up with a plenum type manifold you should have no problems. I know of a few set up that way already. Just remember, the carb is still only feeding one cylinder at a time.

Food for thought for those interested in a one carb set-up.

It does make sense. Cars have single carbs for years before fuel injection. I'd be interested in playing with the idea myself. I'm not all that bent on performance persay, just so it runs right.

    2 part question dw :)

1, what carb did you use?
2, What would you charge for a manifold?

Wouldn't mind trying this, was having a few issues with my carbs just before I put her up for the winter, one side has some degradation of the aluminum inside... cleaning them up now...
