Are there any websites that have xjparts? I have an 82 maxim 550 that I tore apart may of 2010, finally put it back together this week and it runs great! Problem is, the front brakes are horrible, need a complete system rebuild. And the rear shocks bottom out when i have my wife on the back over a medium sized bump (niether of us are very heavy people and it never did this in the past). Wanting to know if anywhere carries NEW replacement parts from a reputible site instead of getting 2nd hand off other people through forums or ebay.

You really need to talk to chacal, the vendor here. He is amazing and I'm sure you will get many people here backing that claim.

XJ4Ever, the logo at the top of the page.

Or you can PM member chacal, or send him an email at
    info "at" xj4ever "dot" com

Len is the go-to guy for parts, he believes in the adage

"Stock it, and they will come"

He has found places to get parts made that haven't been produced in decades.

Bike Bandit has supplied all the parts that I have needed.
Caliper rebuild kit, master cylinder rebuild kit, etc.

Ask chacal to give you a quote.

I don't like searching through forum "catalogs" was wondering if there were any actual sites for parts. But from what you are saying its worth the little bit of extra looking to work with our vendors. Thanks.

It really is. BikeBandit is just "passing through" to the Yamaha parts system; there are better dealers, like Babbitts here in Michigan, Speed-N-Sport, etc.

    But you'll pay Yamaha prices.

XJ4Ever stocks things that Yamaha never even assigned a part number to (like brake caliper pin boots which you'll probably need.)

Plus a lot of eBay parts are mis-listed or just plain wrong.

You do not need to look through the catalog. Just send Chacal a message and include the following.

    Name
    Bike Info (Year, CC's, Model)
    Bike VIN#
Description of what part of the bike you are working on, and what you are wanting to do.

You will be surprised by the list of parts that you will be given. Down to the smallest nut, bolt, & seal. And you can be rest assured that the parts will be correct the first time. This all comes with any necessary infomation to perform the task.

    Yes. He is that good!!

If you are looking for aftermarket parts to personalize your bike. You could check out JPCycle, Dennis Kirk, or one of the other aftermarket parts suppliers.

Download the files, then use search in your browser.
    It's a lot faster
