    Im about to get some paint for my bike, and the kind i want i got to order. Does anyone know how many quarts does it take to paint a 550 seca with the front fairing. Thank you

    Depends on how many times you plan on F'ing it up and having to redo it.
    :D

    Get a couple quarts. Leave one sealed. That way you have more than you need so you can touch it up when you toss it down the freeway!

    I painted my bike with a quart of paint using hardener, so it ends up being more than a quart when it's mixed. I gave the tank, fenders and side covers 3-4 coats and still he some left over. I could've probably got by with a pint, but I didn't want to chance running out.

    i got a quart of ppg omni urethane that mixes 4-1-1 and painted my bmw two coats and had 1/4 can left with three small redo's
    one quart should do
    you can get a good idea from how much primer you use

    Depending on the color you are painting( i.e) how transparent it is and what colors you are covering a quart should be plenty.If the color you use is very transparent,it will take several coats to cover it.
