Have you tried an appliance type epoxy paint? (It's sold in rattle can as well!) I was going to try that this winter??!!

Or else with your rattle can spray job are you clear coating it? If not try that and let it "bake" on in the hot sun for a few days before splashing gas on it!

200 degrees in oven might be too hot. I've done a lot of baking on...

Just put oven as low as it can go... warm. Or let it sit a few days in the sun, or in winter, set it over a hot air register.

It doesn't really need a lot of heat, I've burned the fresh paint right off of an object at 200 degrees.

I finally found the answer.............HARDNER........added to the clear coat.
Dries tough as nails overnight.Talked to a friend of mine that works in a paint shop. The rattle can paint is fine. But you have to use a sprayer with clear coat, with hardner added. And gasoline wont bother it.
