    Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Now that the bike is in the basement and on a jack, it's time to get down to the nitty gritty maintenance.

While doing these things, however, I find myself staring at the bike wondering how I could get it to be more aesthetically pleasing (to my own eye).

I found the rendition below, but I'm curious about three things that I hope someone can help with:

Part 1.) What kind of tank does that appear to be? Any guesses?
Part 2a.) How about those wheels. Any ideas?
Part 3a.) And of course the most important question: Will those wheels fit without any serious modification?

    Thanks for your help folks.

the rims look like what was on an xs Special. The tank looks sort of like a modded RD tank. the engine looks like it was from an XS Special of some size too.......see the kickstart on the other side? See the pods.....that's gonna be a hassle from the start.

Yeah, I had a "What?" moment when I saw the kickstarter. The "designer" claimed it as an XJ750 which had me confused from the get go. Oh well. Thanks for the help!

Well, it may very well be registered as an xj750.......if that's what the headtube was originally from, then that's the number that would be registered.

I was bumped out of a 1st Place trophy earlier this year in a show-- the category was Japanese Bikes -1975-1985 ....
The top trophy was awarded to a brand new big fancy chopper with bright red paint, fat tire, chrome out the nose, etc........obviously waaaaay to new for the category, heck, you could still smell the paint.

Why did he win? It caught the young judges eyes, they had no clue what they were seeing..........and the headtube was taken from a 1975 Honda CB750. So........it was registered as that.
