On my brother's Radian the tower filter keeps coming dislodged from the petcock valve. Leaving him stranded. Any tips on keeping the filter in place?

The standpipe coming off shouldn't prevent fuel from flowing.
Are you descibing the internal standpipe screen (have to remove the petcock from the tank), or an in-line filter (between the petcock and carbs)?

In any case, this thread will help.

Yes k - moe I'm talking about the stand pipe filter. The reason why he got stranded he ran out of fuel. No reserve when the filter falls out.

thats what the odometer is for .
waiting to turn to get gas when you have to turn petcock to reserve is like waiting for the oil light to come on before adding oil

A good method to help it stay in place is to use a cnter-punch and dimple the sides of the recess that the standpipe fits into. That will leave slightly raised edges at each dimple, which will bite into the plasic of the standpipe so it can't come out easily.
