Hey guys, happy to say I got the bike running, but I have run into another minor problem. When I shut my bike off, the petcock drips. If I leave it go all night, it will flood my engine. I pulled the tak off my bike. When the Petcock is in the on position it drips one drop every 3-5 seconds.... is it supposed to drip at all, or will I have to rebuild it?

    Thanks in Advance!!

What bike do you have? Go ahead and put it in your signature.

It's not supposed to drip at all. Don't think it will flood your engine at that rate. Is it leaking out of the spout/into the gas tube, or leaking around the the turnkey seal?

You can get a petcock rebuild kit, and they're worth it if you do it right. It's easiest on the mind to snag a new one, though. That way you don't have any worries that it's going to leak again.

No it should not leak at all, you need to contact Chacal for a new petcock or the rebuild kit, either is easy and painless, his link is on the top of the page XJ4ever. Good luck!

It's an XJ 650. It's not stopping flow. I got a fuel cut off switch that I placed after the Petcock, and it works fine for now.

    Thanks guys!
