I'm in the process of rebuilding my petcock, but I'm not 100% sure if I have the correct petcock on my bike and which parts I need. I got quotes from Chacal for all of the pieces and was confused on the part regarding the drain screw. Based off the descriptions, the XJ750 Maxim should have a drain screw, but I don't believe mine has one.

These 3 seals are bad. I know which parts to order for the petcock to tank seal and the o-ring, but I have no clue what the other gasket is called. It's the gasket that goes between the petcock and the fuel outlet part...the part next to the selector in the lower image. Also, there is no drain screw on the bottom of that part, just a brown ball like thing.

The inside of the petcock itself looks spotless.

Yes, my RES filter is missing.

Anyone? I need to identify this petcock so I can make sure I order the proper parts for it.

Try going to someplace like Bike Bandit for a blow-up of the part. Paul Miller sells the filters, you can apply them with high viscosity super glue.

It's simply a later-model version of the same Yamaha petcocks, made by Taiyo Giken. It should say "TAIYO GIKEN" on it somewhere, most likely on the output plate.

Get ahold of chacal (XJ4Ever) he should have the parts for it.

And there's nothing inside the petcock that should require gluing.
