Looks like a good swap, a little fuzzy though. Got auto focus? I suspect you don't because nothing in either photo is focused save the old box. Just remember to ensure that the maximum amperage rating for your new box covers the largest amperage circuit in the old box (30 amps on mine, not sure about yours). I have seen most of these nice replacements only go up to 20 amps, which precludes use on my machine. Is your replacement water tight or resistant? Remember that if it is open to the air like the original, the same problems will reappear in a few years. Where did you score the block? Can it be dissassembled to preform corrosion treatment later? Yes, I'm picky, I don't want to have to repair this issue twice, not enough wire to mess it up the first time so I want a bullet-proof assembly. I'm going to attempt to create my own fuse block this summer if I'm not moving again. Pictures will be taken and the whole process will be published. We'll see what happens. Cheers, Robert.

this is good to know, my 82 maxim has one fuse already spliced and I'm looking to replace the whole panel, 1 question will i beable to mount it in the same spot under the seat, or will i have to relocate it to the tool box in the back of the bike?

hi schmidtap you should be able to fit box under seat thats where i putting mine otherwise you would have to extend cables which means more wire joins more potential power leaks
    hope this helps mike
can you post pics of your bike i love looking at all maxims
