Black superbike handlebars and EMGO "cafe racer" bikini fairing. Pirelli "Sport Demon" tires, which are amazing. I just wish the bike could lean enough for me to get rid of those darn chickenstrips.

Quick question while I got your attention  . Both my mufflers fell off at the same part in the pipe. They both had jagged lines which leads me to believe that these exhaust were forced off somehow. Happened about 1,000 miles into owning the bike. Is this normal? I am looking into getting a 4-into-1 exhaust with headers to replace it, but for now I just ride with open headers, because, quite frankly I'm a young college grad with no money!

Also, my bike eats about half a quart of oil every 300-500 miles. I believe this is because the valve clearance is wonky, as I changed my oil and oil filter, eliminating the possibility of dirty oil. Any other possible causes?

Sick bike. I feel ya on the no money. The money tree I planted in the back yard just isn't delivering.

If you are losing that much oil and it isn't leaving puddles anywhere, the bike is burning it. The valve clearances have nothing to do with that, and it will contnue to burn it no matter how many times you change the dirty oil.

You can help determine what is causing the oil loss by performing a full and proper compression check.
