So this spring (April) I am planning on making a roadtrip from Salt Lake City, UT to Los Angeles, CA up to Portland, OR back to LA and back to Utah. I am wondering what I should do to my bike before I go. So far here is what has been done:
New Master Brake Cylinder, Front Rear Brakes, New Chain and Sprockets, Rebuilt Carbs, New Petcock, and some new seals.

My tires are fairly new but I think that I will replace them before the trip. I was wondering if there is anything else I should be doing. I am planning on taking the trip fairly snow. It wont be one straight shot but it will all be done within about 10 days. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks.

Never done a long trip like that on a bike, but whenever I take a long trip in the Jeep I always change the oil before I leave. I'm sure since you have a new chain and sprocket, the chain is properly greased. Make sure to check your air pressure in your tires as you go and monitor your fluid levels. May even want to invest in a new air filter before you leave. Might also need a handgun when going through LA...haha jk.

Change the oil and filter right before you go. You've covered everything else. Keep an eye on your chain during the course of the trip, it will probably need an adjustment or two especially if you're carrying luggage. Carry a tire gauge and have fun!
