I'm attempting to diagnose a dead cylinder 4 and was checking spark plug cap resistance. The caps on cylinders 1 and 4 both ran around 7.8 k ohms. Resistance on the wires was right around 11 k. I'm pretty sure that's good on the wires, but I'm not sure on the cap specs. I have new dyna coils and wires I can install, just not sure how to mount the coils yet.

Your outer caps should be about 5K. New ones are needed. Your line resistance is about right.

I need to figure out how to use my multimeter.
