Not sure if there is a thread with written procedure, but could not find it.

I cleaned my plugs (had less than 100 miles on them) making sure that the bottom and strap were free of any carbon and soot.

Stuck them back in and drove back and forth to work for a couple days (about 40 miles, varying RPM, city and Highway driving).

Pulled the plugs and the bottoms are pretty clean, so running lean.

However, when I read peoples responses here about plug chops, it seems like a lot of people are reading the color of the insulator, which I was always told was the wrong way.

Someone set me straight. Also, here is a pic of one of the plugs... pink insulator means what? lol...

    Hi Rob,
those plugs look damn good! Your bike must be running pretty smooth.

You're right about the way to read the plugs but if your insulator is fouled up or showing signs of cracking from overheating that comes into the equation also.

Lean would normally mean a whole lot of extra heat on the plugs but I think your plugs are so close to the new mark it'd be hard to read either way. I'd be happy with what you have though.

Colourtune is the BEST way to go about it though. A hell of an invention.
