PO had wrong jet size things in 1 carb

    The last owner must have put one of the wrong sizes in. I don't know exactly what this is called but looks like a jet. But it is in the top side of the carb. Their are 2 in every carb. See the picture to see what I am talking about. The top jet is supposed to be 210 and the bottom is supposed to be 70. That is correct in every carb except their is a 210 in both bottom and top. I have 5 210s and 3 70s so their is not 2 70s in one carb. Would this make it run bad or what will this do.     Those are the air jets. Yes it will make it run bad (the air jets act on the diaphrams to control slide height while running). Yes Chacal has them.

    You sure about that? I was under the impression that the air jets regulated the amount of air mixed (emulsified) with the fuel within each circuit. The only orifice that helps with the lifting of the needle and slide is the one at the bottom of the slide.

    I'm actually somewhat wrong. The while the air jets do effect the pressure differential at the diaphragm, their main job is to meter the amount of air in each circuit. In any case having the wrong air jet will make it run poorly.
