Yesterday I managed to low side my bike on some sand.

After I picked it up and got it back to my garage I found out that gasoline had flowed back through the carbs and into the air box. The case has that breather tube running from the air box and gasoline got dumped into my case and I had to change out all my oil and my filter to make sure it was clean.

From what I can tell you can put a pod air filter on the case and remove the breather tube. If I ever, and I hope I never do, go down again I'd really like to not have the problem of gas in my case.

I know the problems with putting pods on the carbs but is there any negative result from putting a pod on the engine case? And if it's not too bad for it what kind would you recommend?

Nevermind on this post. I just search it on the forums and got all the info I needed.

I'll stick with the stock breather and just no fall over again.

That really is the best policy, if you can manage. However, it's been my (rude) experience that it's usually unplanned...
