I'm bobbing my 82 maxim 650. I need to know the bore size of my Hitachi (HSC32) so I can order the right pod filters. Also, What would you use as a starting point for jet sizes? I have a Mac 4 into 1 open header and I'll be using the afore mentioned pod filters. Thanks guys.

    The "32" is a clue- - 32 MM
When you say "Mac open" does that mean you took the baffle out of the mac?? You are looking at 114 - 116 to start with, then read your plugs for further changes, possibly buy or borrow some drill bits if you feel adventurous. Try not to run too lean of course.

I had K+N pods installed on mine. I have a 550 and the jets are 112.5 stock. Went up to 125 to tune the carbs in right. At first we tried 120 but still needed to go up. Went to 125 and they were perfect. But That is also running a 4 into 1. They were set up for the 4 into 1 and I just installed it.

Iv'e tried looking around for a jet kit, that offers larger jets than stock. Tried the Bike Bandit site, didn't see anything but may not have been looking properly. Want to order the Mac 4 into 1 exhaust, just don't want to run lean. Talked to a friend who asphalt races an RX1 snowmobile and got a set of stock R1 carbs from him. Thought I'd give them a try with the exhaust.
