I'm just curious if any of you have taken the time to polish your stock wheels to a mirror finish...
If so, how did it turn out??
I'm kind of a sucker for shiny stuff.
A pic or 2 would help a guy out.

    Alright.
I'm apparently full of dumb questions. But how does one find a members gallery?

Oner fails to remember that the gallery was on the old software, and not the new forum software.....

Here's a few pics of his work.

If you're looking for pics of the wheels fully polished (no paint at all), Im afraid that I don't know of anyone that has done that.

if you take the wheel off, put the axle vertically in a vise, slide the wheel on the axle. now you can buff the edge of the wheel with a drill and buffing pad. just don't let the wheel get spinning too fast

I use McGuires Alumimum polish and a rag. Using the center stand, I spin the wheels by hand and hold the rag/polish against the rim with my finger to polish the rim. I do it once or twice a summer to keep both wheels bright.

Since mine is chain drive, it also takes the chain grease/stain off the rear wheel rim.
