as we all know winter is sadly coming soon
so after I do some mechanical work
I have an itching to change the paint scheme
I am going to get a gel pad put into the seat
so I will have it changed to black or a very dark brown
here is what she looks like now

I am considering a change to this Almond color
I think it will look nice
    anyone have thoughts?
    agree... disagree..

I have to repaint the fenders because I did not clear coat them
and some of the paint has rubbed off
    they will remain black
    all green will become almond

    thanks

If it were me, I would do a two tone almond and root beer/brown metallic.

Go to your local automotive parts store and look through their Dupli-Color Perfect Match Premium Automotive Paint. It's enamel paint with a big variety of colors, sprays well and cures hard. Be sure to clear coat with enamel clear and use enamel paint or the gas will eat through it.

nice advice.. I will have to go to the automotive store
was going to do a black stripe angling up the side of the tank
    with yamaha in the stripe
    and then the almond
will check out the root beer
I spent an hour just looking at rattle cans today
    getting ideas in my head
I know all about the clear coating
did the current color and never had issue
other than it costs 22 bux a can :)

Don't know if you can find Root Beer in rattle can, but you should be able to find something close. Those Dupli-Color cans are about 7 bucks a piece, but look great when finished.
    Here's a pic of a guitar I painted.

    I found this on Amazon
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TQ ... d_i=507846

I think I will just go to the Autoparts store and look
    at colors
    and then decide

this is what got me thinking about the almond color
    http://www.dillonharley.com/cmsAdmin/up ... 26_022.jpg

and instead of the almond fenders
    I would leave them black
and then paint the side panels and carb sides and exhaust
    holders in cream
and maybe do a black stripe on the tank as well with Yamaha
    inside it

    all things to ponder
    I love the green
but I can't make up my mind

I don't have a compressor, was happy with rattle can
    results
just wish I had clear coated my fenders
I am also considering some vinyl on the tank
    before the clear coat

I am one of those guys who changes the look every year I guess
