So the only concern with posting pictures that include license plate numbers online a can think of is people think that it'll make it easier for folks to make a fake plate, put it on the same model car/bike and get out of tickets, do a bank job or run over old ladies...etc etc.

I'm not sure I buy into this as a legitimate issue cos I mean, if someone want to do that can't they just walk down the street and find a bike/car just the same way they can online?

As I understand it, it's pretty easy to look up information based on a license plate, and putting it online makes it that much easier to go from looking at a plate to looking it up.

Now, should you worry about it? I'd say only worry about it if you feel you're putting yourself at risk as a potential target. If you're a celebrity, you don't want to be letting everyone and their mother be able to look up your address. And maybe if you've got a sweet ride that you keep outside, unlocked, openly available to someone who might want to steal it, probably for the best if you don't advertise 1. just how awesome it is and 2. where it's probably being kept via the license plate.

Well I am quite famous and a do leave my sweet sweet ride on the street with the keys in and a neon sign requesting that no one steals it so i think I'm good right.

Hehe - I do act like that occasionally - especially when trying to remove an oil filter but as an honorary robot I must point out that I believe you confusing "lost in Space" with "the forbidden planet". Robby the robot was in the later - the robot from "lost in space" was just called "Robot" or "B-9". Although I do believe they were made by the same person and studio.

Now for my fellow robot's I must add "0101101011011110001111".

Also, binary is a series of 1s and 0s grouped in clusters of 8 digits, each cluster representing a letter or number. I suspect you may not be a robot at all!
Funny how far off topic these things can go!

I wish I still had the pic of the last 700 I got .... When it was advertised, it was hanging upside down, like a gutted deer bleeding out, from the raised bucket of a backhoe.

Actually us robots don't care so much for groupings, or letters for that matter - binary to us is just on or off.
