hey - i sure seem to remember seeing a graph that shows torque and horsepower vs RPM on this site at one time. i tried "searching" for quite awhile and couldn't find it.

if anyone would be able to post it here, i'd sure appreciate it.

    thanks in advance.

oh, i'll take a chart for any XJ, but preferrably an XJ750

thanks - but not quite what i'm looking for.

i'm trying to decide if my "flat spot" between 5k and 6k is normal. i've read quite a few threads that mention a "second power band" at 7k - but was hoping to see a graph that shows this.

The only chart I have is for the 550s; torque has a nearly flat spot between 4K-6K then it jumps up toward a peak at 10K (redline.)
Meanwhile, HP has a "leveling off" between 4-6K but then rises steeply from 6K to 8K where it tapers off slightly but keeps rising to its peak at 10K.

There is a definite "second powerband" on the 550 it comes in just over 6K rpm.

thanks, bigfitz, i was hoping to actually "see" something (i'm a charts and graphs kinda guy) but what you described is what i was hoping/expecting to see.

i'm assuming the 750 curve is simlar to the 550 - 'cept the scale is probly a little different.

anyhow - maybe someone will find one and it will turn up here.
