Few years ago I was driving on an interstate in rush traffic to St Paul, MN. My wife and I were driving my pickup following a motorcyclist wearing muscle shirt, jeans and no helmet. He was tailgating and I kept safe distance. The traffic ahead of him came to a sudden stop and he hammered on the binders. His rear wheel locked up and down he went 8O . I just watched which way he’ll tumble so I don’t run over the poor guy. My wife was the first one to his aid as I called 911. The guy was knocked out, eyes rolled back, blood pouring from his face, head, arm and other exposed skin. He had major road rash! After a few minutes he came to, sat up and had a smoke  . His buddy was in the traffic behind me and later on informed me that his friend (victim) owned his bike only for 2 weeks! Since that day my wife refuses to ride with me .

Lesson learned: Wear protective clothing and full-face helmet :!: :!: :!:

The day you assume you will not go down will be the day you lowside leaving your driveway and leave two pounds of skin on the pavement.
