Just picked up an 82 XJ 750 Maxim. Found this forum and decided to join and give my fellow Maximer a "hello" :D

Looking forward to figuring my way around the site so I can gain some knowledge about how to do things to the bike. 8)

This is my 6th bike after a 35 year absences from riding. Just sold my 1986 Yamaha Venture 1300. Now I have the 750 to work on.

The bike runs great. Needs idle adjusted, some detail work from neglect, and a paint job. ( and cobra pipes would be nice ).
