Keeps blowing 10 amp fuse even when ignition is off, and it is directly wired to the battery. As soon as you touch the fuse to the fuse holder it pops the fuse. Will post pic of type of charging system.

just realized that the instructions that come with it says that it comes with a 15 amp fuse what I realize is that what was in the fuse holder was actually a 10 amp fuse. Even though it's a 10 amp fuse it shouldnt be blowing it, and should I even attempt to put a 15 amp fuse in it when its blowing a 10 amp fuse? I don't want it to burn up my motorcycle wiring harness. Any advice?

Is the fuse that is blowing one of the motorcycle fuses or an inline fuse included with the product that you are installing?

    Three questions.

Wired directly to the battery on it's own dedicated harness, correct?

Being used to charge a phone, correct?

No breaks in the insulation, correct?

Typically a phone will draw 2 amps at the most. If all of the above are correct, then I suspect that you have a defective charger.

    Dedicated wiring harness yes
    Charging phone but through usb
    No breaks in insulation

Will blow fuse even without charger plugged in, and being turned off.

But like I stated, the package stated that it comes installed with a 15 amp fuse, but came installed with a 10 amp fuse. I haven't tried installing a 15 amp fuse, afraid of burning wiring harness.

I still suspect a faulty unit. Read the Amazon reviews. Even a 10 amp fuse should not blow unless there is more than 10 amps of load, and there should be no load if nothing is plugged into the thing.

I looked at the installation instructions on their website and there are some warnings about twisting wires causing shorts. Seems like you have a dead short if you are blowing fuses,
