After the petcock leaked gas into the crank. I drained the tank and the crank. I took the petcock apart and cleaned it really good. I found out from the PO that the petcock isn't even the original. It is to some other bike, which one who knows. anyhoo

    1. how do you know if there is too much oil in the bike?

    2. how hot is too hot on thermostat? Is there an operating range on the gauge? should it peg at H while in town riding?

During my ride last night she seemed to run well but I did notice hesitation in the powerband between 5500 and 7000. Also a side note I did have a 1/2 can of seafoam in the tank to try to clean up carbs.

    Thanks

hey...that looks just like my bike 8)

the temp gauge will get real close to red zone before fan comes on. my bike stays about in the middle in town...on a hot day.

when yure bike is on centerstand and "level" the oil will almost cover the whole window when full.

if yure getting gas in yure oil....get that petcock fixed..ASAP....and check yure float valves.....
