 Kiora from New Zealand. currently paying lots of care and attention to XJ650g 1980, 150k plus. She had a busy life and seems willing to carry on. Lots of spares help .
Wot with houses , work , kids and of coures the loving pillion the bikes took a back seat , should have got back to bikes years ago. So better late than never. I'm back and loving it.
So far brakes, forks, shocks, balancing, tyres, now working reasonably well, I have a flat spot at 5000 rpm, is this common ? Any known fix?
I am rebuilding a bank of carbs to exchange, is there a inverted measurement for the float height?
So Hi to all , bike on.

Hey, welcome aboard! How are things in New Zealand? That's one place I've always wanted to visit.

There is a measurement for setting the floats dry but you would still have to check and/or tweak it wet. You'll have to search the forums because I can't recall it at the moment, but I remember at least one post giving that information. I need to find that myself because carb refurb is on my list for this winter.

I have an XJ650G too withabout 75K on it... nice to know its capable of going around again with the proper maintenance!
