August 21st...I've penciled it in on my calendar. Hard to know if I'm free that far in advance but putting it on the calendar will help.

Roger, I'm going to try, but I have to do a front en suspension job on a friends car and also have a kids b day to attend so it's going to be very iffy for me at the moment.

Ok, it looks like I'll be able to make it after all as I DON't have to go to the Bday Party. I should be finished with the suspension job at around noon, or earlier. I can be there by 1pm or 1:30pm I'll be riding the xs650

I was there, . I did meet a few new folks from here but can't remember their names. Met 2 from the XS11.com site. It was nice to see lots of old Jab bikes and not Harleys.

Maybe I had unrealistic expectations. Or maybe I went at the wrong time, but I was disappointed. The Kerr-Scott building is a rather large open warehouse type building. It was probably at most 1/3 occupied by the event. I remember thinking that I was glad I only paid $5.00 to get in because the event was way smaller than I had expected given it's location in the Kerr Scott building. There were some nicely restored bikes, but 2-3 trips around the area and I had seen everything there was to see. Most of the parts that were for sell were odds and ends and most of them were of highly questionable quality (basically junk). There were some professional restoration businesses there, and they certainly had some beautiful work on display.

I didn't see any XJ bikes in the parking area. Was there something else going on elsewhere at the fairgrounds that I just completely missed?

Artie I agree it was a little small for a venue like Raleigh but I'm hoping it will grow. My son and I had a good time sitting in the lot with Mark and the guys talking about 1100s and the XJs. This is the first time I had been to an event like this and I was happy to see guys that have the same interest in the old Yamaha's. Maybe next year the event will get more coverage and more XJ and XS guys will ride their machines there. More vendors would be nice also. My 1100 is definitely not show quality but I was happy to park it in the lot with Mark's. Maybe next year we can do an XS XJ conner. I will definitely have both bikes there next year.

When were you there Roger? Sorry I missed you. Most of us were gone at 1pm. There were some cool bikes there, I'm sure it will be biger next year. There was not a lot of parts, I had more fun in the parking lot talking to others.

Let's see, I was there well before lunch...maybe 0930 or so? I rode over early to avoid the heat and because I had to be back before lunch.
