I was out on my son's 82 750 Maxim. I noticed the front end has a rattle when I would go over some light bumps. I also know the guy who owned it before replaced the fork seals. Is it possible he put something in upside down or ?????? Any one have this happen. I will dig into it but just trying to see if its possible to go back togeather with something backwards or upside down. Thanks ( I wouldn't put it past the guy who used to own this bike to mix something up. )

Is it coming from the steering head bearings? If so, tighten those spanner nuts a little and it will go away.

Mine also had a rattle and it was the metal caps that snap onto the fork seals that came loose.
