Can anybody tell me what I need to redo the rear brakes aside from new shoes? Is there a good rebuild kit out there? Currently, the rear brakes work, they are just really soft.

The rear brakes on these XJ's aren't very hard anyway and don't need to be very hard (don't want them to lock when hitting the brake). May just need adjusting, have you checked the old shoes for delamination?
