    hey guys,
i'm trying to mod my 81 550 with a rear bobbed fender to make it look kinda like the triumph t100. what would be the best way to go about it? I know i would have to chop some of the inner fender off to install. but should i get a blank and cut it myself? maybe try to mod something from another brand? any input would rock. thanks

If the inner fender is anything like on the 650 Secas it comes off in 2 parts.
Right under the seat crossmember it splits into 2 seperate pieces... it's like they planned for it.

Just take out the 2 (4?) bolts on either side of the frame and viola:

(frame is also cut in this picture).

If it isn't the same on the 550's then I'm sorry for wasting your post.
