    hey all,
mounted new signal/running lights to a rear fender i scavenged. tried the signals and noted each light brightens when activated but does not flash. couldn't figure it out yesterday but woke up wondering today if the issue is because i do not have the front signal lights connected.
am i on the right track?
    thanks.

If you are mounting a new LED stlye light, you will need more components to make it work easily. Autozone has resistors like you need.

Nuff said (assuming also not messing with LED conversion).

if the fronts flash and the rears do not. the only reason why they are not flashing is because the flasher relay is not connected to them properly. make sure they are linked to the fronts...

as far as LED's, they are a pain in the ass. regular flashers will not affect them because LEDs do not require even 1/8 the power a regular bulb does... instead of searching for resistors at Auto Zone, which i never was able to find.... you can use the flashers the you have now, all you gotta do is connect a regular bulb somewhere in the circuit. that bulb will draw enough power from the regular flasher and will blink, causing the LEDs to blink as well. you can tuck that bulb somewhere under the tank where it cannot be seen, or even use it as a decorative light over the engine

    hope this helps

Thorin sounds like your on the right track once you increase the load across the flasher it should heat it up enough to make it operate
