I'm about to reinstall my rear wheel. I understand I need to grease the splines, but should I wipe out all the old grease first?

    Thanks in advance

just to be on the safe side wipe as much of it out as you can without getting carried away, but if your finding grit of any kind clean it all out and put fresh stuff on
